LuckyChap and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios adapt horror webcomic STAGTOWN

Benjamin Brewer, the Lead VFX Artist behind the Oscar-winning "Everything Everywhere All at Once," will take on the roles of writer and director.

LuckyChap, the production powerhouse behind hits like Barbie and I, Tonya, and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, the fan-driven storytelling juggernaut, have teamed up to produce a live-action film adaptation of the hit WEBTOON horror series Stagtown. Created by Punko, the webcomic has captivated audiences with its chilling story and eerie visuals, amassing over 18 million views online.

The film will follow the unsettling journey of Frankie, Jeremy, and Felix as they uncover the terrifying secrets lurking within the mysterious town of Stagtown—a place where residents live in willful ignorance of the horrors around them.

Benjamin Brewer, known for his work as the Lead VFX Artist on the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, is set to write and direct. Brewer’s directing credits include Arcadian, which premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival to critical acclaim, and The Trust, starring Nicolas Cage. His innovative approach promises to deliver a genre-defining horror film that will bring Punko’s nightmare-inducing tale to life.
