The highly anticipated second season of Weak Hero Class 1 is set to premiere in 2025.
In Netflix Korea’s teaser video showcasing upcoming releases, a brief snippet of Weak Hero Class 2 appears around the eight-second mark, featuring Yeon Si-eun wielding his signature weapon—a sharp pen—against a new bully. Season 2 picks up immediately after the events of Season 1, following Si-eun as he transfers to a new school in the wake of his past trauma.
Newly released stills tease intense confrontations, including a fight between Si-eun and Geum Sung-je, a member of a dangerous new crew known as the Union. Another image shows Si-eun battered and bloodied, hinting at the brutal battles ahead. Fans can expect another gripping season filled with raw action and high-stakes drama.
The new season of Weak Hero will not only see Park Jihoon reprising his role as Si-eun, but also the return of Yoo Soobin as Choi Hyoman. Hyoman made a brief appearance in the final episode of Season 1, hinting at his pivotal role in the upcoming season.
New cast members include Ryeoun as Park Hu-min, Choi Minyoung as Seo Jun-tae, Lee Minjae as Go Hyun-tak, and Bae Nara as Na Baekjin.
Based on the webcomic by Seopass and Kim Jin-seok, Weak Hero Class 1 follows Yeon Si-eun, a top student who prefers studying over socializing. However, he becomes the target of bullies. Though physically weak, he relies on his intelligence and strategic thinking to fight back. Si-eun forms an unlikely friendship with Ahn Suho, the strongest fighter in their class, and Oh Beom-seok, a timid assemblyman’s son. But their bond is soon tested as violence threatens to tear them apart.
The first season, consisting of eight episodes, premiered on November 18, 2022, on Wavve. Season 2 is set to stream on Netflix in the second quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, fans can read the original webcomic in English on WEBTOON.
